Community Links
Our partnerships within the Local Community are essential to the smooth running of the school and to enhancing the children’s experiences and opportunities.
We have an excellent relationship with our local Churches and regularly visit them, learning about local history at Lytchett Matravers Methodist Church and Lytchett Minster Parish Church.
We also have strong links with the Parish Council and work closely with them on matters that affect our school, local environment and our neighbours in the Village.
We also have links with several local businesses and charities which enhance the children's learning.
Our Student Voice vote on a termly basis to decide which local and global charities the school will support. We regularly help to raise money for the Poole Hospital Children's Ward, Mosaic and Help for Heroes as our local charities, and we host visits from them to do workshops and information sessions about their work. We have also raise money for Children in Need and Sports Relief.
Annually we have visits from the Fire Service, Dorset Police, RLNI and the Schools Safer Communities Team (SSCT). Learning how these and other professionals fit into our community is important for the development of our future global citizens.
We value all relationships with members of the community, working with them to enhance the children’s learning, preparing our children for life in modern Britain.
