Bronze Ambassadors’ Primary Leadership Academy
On Tuesday 17th November, the six new Bronze Ambassadors (also known as Sports Leaders) attended a Primary Leadership Academy at Poole High School, along with approximately twenty other primary schools from the surrounding areas.
The aim of the day was to train the children to become effective Bronze Ambassadors. This role requires the team of children from Year 5 and 6 to show leadership, communication, and team-working skills as they promote all aspects of sport and physical wellbeing in our school, and so the day consisted of four workshops which were designed to train the children in these areas.
The new Bronze Ambassadors enjoyed playing games which encouraged them to think about what made effective communication in different settings, considered what would make an engaging activity for the playground, and made a plan for what they were going to do in the school to help promote physical wellbeing.
I was really impressed by the ideas that the children came up with, and can’t wait to see what they help to implement over the next year!
